A Visit From Bill Ladd Bill showing his slave tags. To the delight of the club members we had the pleasure to meet Bill Ladd at one of our meetings. Bill has been on the Antiques Road Show with his slave tags he found as a teenager. They are appraised at $15,000.00. A remarkable find! He is also featured in many issues of treasure magazines as well as ads for Fisher Detectors. He talked about his experiences and brought along many of his finds to show our members.
He started detecting at the age of eight with his Grand Father and has traveled to many parts of our country as well as Essex England. He truly enjoys the hobby, especially going to schools where he shows children artifacts right out of their history books. The kids are truly amazed at what they see and are able to touch.
Bill is a tremendous asset to our hobby and we all thank him for the great job he is doing by sharing his adventures with everyone. As club president I would recommend to any and all clubs to have him at one of your meetings. You will be amazed!
